Beams of Steel

Although it’s not yet onsite, a large portion of the Centre for Green Cities has already been built. Like a giant pre-fab building, the steel structure will be delivered to the site piece by piece for a speedy installation.

Over 90% of this steel is recycled and sourced from Canada and the northern United States. A local Ontario fabricator then cuts, drills and welds it to fit our building.

Over the next couple of weeks, with the help of the crane and iron workers, these pieces will be erected, bolted and welded into the first two floors of our building!
