Bill Wilson shows us what it means to “be the root”
Bill Wilson at Signal Hill, St. John’s NLSince retiring from telecommunications, Bill Wilson has joined the Evergreen team as a stellar volunteer.
From event photography to planting the Watershed Wall, to lending a hand on last-minute preparations, Bill’s time, energy and positivity have significantly contributed to the success of Evergreen Brick Works.
“Bill comes to us with a vast background of experiences, a plethora of knowledge, and a constant ambition to learn,” says Evergreen’s volunteer coordinator, Becky Lamb. “He lives his passion every day with us at EBW and, in his cheeky way, helps to push the rest of us off the edge.”
Bill’s former employer, Bell Canada, thinks he’s pretty great too. So much so that they donated $500 to Evergreen Brick Works, to thank him for his impact as a volunteer and memorialize his contribution on the Living Wall.
