Dear Santa, can we have a new pick-up truck for Christmas?

Since our opening, support from the community has been growing, and our partners in sustainability have been very generous.

When stuff we need (like carpeting from InterfaceFLOR) is donated, we can dedicate more of our resources toward engaging programming. This means we can help more kids and communities connect with nature!

So thanks to all those Santa’s out there who’ve given us the tools we need. But, if you’re asking…

From Evergreen Brick Works to Santa, there are a few more things on our wish list:

  • We’d love a skate sharpener to use at our outdoor skating trail.
  • An outdoor sweeper, to clean the dirt that muddy boots leave behind.
  • Some cordwood for the community campfires in Chimney Court, and maybe even some children’s wheelbarrows and mini-woodworking tools!
  • Binoculars would help us monitor those owls and hawks making their home in Weston Family Quarry Garden.
  • If it’s not too much, we’d love an on-site pick-up truck so we can schlep stuff around. We’d also be happy with a Gator, or even a rugged electric golf cart!

Above all Santa, we wish for world peace, a green future and shelter for the needy…

(But don’t forget about that list above, because we’re quite keen on that stuff too!)
