This September 23–25, Evergreen and the International School Ground Alliance (ISGA) invite you to join us for the 2013 International Green School Ground Conference, the first significant gathering of the ISGA since it’s founding less than two years ago.
The international movement to create green school grounds is growing substantially. The ISGA was created to bring about a new level of cooperation among experts from Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, Sweden the UK and the US.
This three-day conference is a rare opportunity for leading school ground designers, educators, administrators, environmentalists and interested community members from across Canada, the US and around the world to share best practices, case studies and innovations in play and learning on school grounds.
The conference will feature keynote presentations and speakers by visionary leaders of the school ground movement as well as intimate group sessions with hands-on training and skill building. Participate in tours of outstanding school grounds in the GTA and network with each other to share ideas and become inspired.
Visit the event page for more information and updates on registration and the itinerary to come soon!

Very glad to hear of this type of movement. With any of the local Vancouver school ground upgrades, I don’t get the feeling that they consider “green”. I’ve looked at playground options for the apartment where I live and it’s expensive. With the school board budgets, I hope there are some reasonable pricing solutions out there so this can move forward. Good luck!
