28 Days… Local Food Court

We are counting down to our historic Grand Opening. See you there!

Today marked the second last Bay-Adelaide Farmers' Market and it was another successful day.

The air was crisp and hinted that fall is near, pulling us into a reflective mood. As the market evolved over the course of the summer, the community started seeing it as more of a local food court. While there are farmers at the market each week, the majority are smaller food producers selling healthy, ready-made lunches, treats and other prepared foods.

It is this realization that has opened up an interesting discussion about what constitutes a farmers' market and created another opportunity to engage our market community in an honest and collaborative discussion about how to bring local sustainable food into the city.
