Smart cities of the future at Evergreen Brick Works
In a special breakfast presentation at Evergreen Brick Works on June 23, futurists Ayesha and Parag Khanna explored the rise of Smart Cities around the globe.
The Khannas are co-directors of the Hybrid Reality Institute, a research and advisory think-tank focused on the intersection of technology and geopolitics. They began the morning with an engaging presentation that showcased innovative urban centres around the world and featured enlightening projects that ten years ago would have been unimaginable.
Moderated by Macrowikinomics author Don Tapscott, the discussion that followed brought these global ideas back home and covered a wide array of urban sustainability issues.
If you missed the morning, you can watch the discussion and lecture on the Evergreen Brick Works YouTube channel. Be sure to share your reactions and responses with us. We hope to see you at the next T.H.E. Series event.
