Saturday, June 4: Bike Works Grand Opening and Bike Breakfast
10am–noon
FREE
Join our Bike Works team for a Bike Breakfast at Evergreen Brick Works! Cycle to Evergreen Brick Works and get a free pancake breakfast. Then, have your bike safety checked for spring and top it off with a browse around the Farmers’ Market.
8-80 Cities and Evergreen will also be releasing reports on pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure in the city.

10–11am Bike Chain Cutting and Pancake Breakfast
11–11:30am 8-80 Cities Walkability and Bikability Report Launch
11:30am–noon Bike Safety Checks

Sunday, June 19: Father’s Day on the Trails
1–3pm
$15 plus cost of bike rentals if needed
Register online here or by email to bikeworks@evergreen.ca
Come with Dad and participate in Family Safety Training, followed by a trail ride and picnic in the ravine (Bring your own or buy from Café Belong).

Friday, June 24: Bike-in Movie Night
7–10pm
Pay-What-You-Can
Ride up to an evening of bike-themed movies under The Pavilions in the heart of Toronto’s Don Valley Ravine System. Enjoy a cold one, Big Wheel natural blonde beer from local brewery Amsterdam brewing co. All proceeds support Bike Works programming.

Saturday, June 11: TPL Bikes and Books: Bike Repair for the Novice
11am–3pm
FREE
Jones Library Branch, 118 Jones Ave, Toronto
Meet our Bike Works staff and learn about basic bike maintenance from oiling a chain to fixing a flat and adjusting brakes. Instruction on bike safety and security, free bike maps and a big display of our books on bike repair that you can borrow. Classes and drop-in clinics open to all.
This event is organized by the Toronto Public Library in partnership with the Toronto Cyclists Union. For more details, visit the event listing.

Saturday, June 25: MEC Bikefest Pastry Ride
11am–1pm
FREE with pre-registration
Historic Distillery District
Take a ride from MEC Bikefest to Evergreen Brick Works and back, with our Bike Works staff. All skill levels, ending with coffee and pastries at MEC Bikefest. Distance: 30–40km. For more information and to register, visit blog.mec.ca/events/mec-bikefest.

Take part in a community discussion and workshop on connecting communities and trails in the Don Valley area. The workshop is designed to bring out workable solutions to transportation issues and inform the community about the current state of affairs. Organized with support from Ontario Healthy Communities Coalition.
