Our volunteer program is broken down into three basic types of opportunities. Each offers varying levels of commitment, so you can find the volunteer opportunity that is right for you.
How to Join the Team
Planting and Stewardship Events
Visit the Event Calendar and look for the shovels to find fun, hands-on planting and stewardship events near you. RSVP to the contact person listed. Tools and training are provided on-site. Most of these events take place in the GTA and Metro Vancouver area and happen spring through fall. Stewardship activities include planting native plants, removing invasive species and monitoring projects.
Special Events and Festivals
From food festivals to eco-celebrations, it takes many hands to run a smooth event. Find event assistant roles in our Current Volunteer Opportunities and sign up for one that suits you.
Join the Seasonal Team
For those who want to make a bigger commitment, there are lots of exciting roles at Evergreen. Check out our Current Volunteer Opportunities to find what interests you. Opportunities in the Metro Vancouver, Greater Toronto Area (including at Evergreen Brick Works) and even some virtual opportunities where you can volunteer from home.
